No LIVE animal should be transported for SLAUGHTER. Why should gentle, sentient animals with the same feelings of pain and distress as humans have to endure torment before death. Humans understand reasons for transport, animals are like five year old children or disabled people in that they have no understanding of what is happening to them. Meat is unhealthy to eat ( cancer and cardiovascular disease from saturated fats ) but if people feel they have to devour living creatures then those creatures should be shown the respect of dying HUMANELY and CLOSE TO HOME.
The British Government says it cannot stop live transport due to the European Law, I believe ;- 1847 Harbours,Docks & Piers Act. I do not understand this as the European Union is not that old. Up until 1833 it was legal to transport human slaves as cattle are transported now. it is time politicians put morality before profit and gave all life forms the same protection in LAW.

how can we agree with such terrible transports. !!!!!
we are supposed to know how these animals suffer during such transports.

Live exports are cruel and barbaric.How much more abuse must animals endure.This needs to be addressed as soon as possiable.Some of the journeys these poor animals have to be on take hours.I have watched many vidios of how the animals suffer during transport.Some travell hundreds of miles with out any care or attention.Many die from over crowding, lack of rest,not being fed or watered.Dying of sheer exaustion.
Then they are abused by the so called slaughter men in what ever country the happen to end up in.In this day and age there needs to be a halt to this exploitation of aniumals.
The over production of animals is the cause of it ,Plus the greed of breeders who are just in it for the money.They dont care if the animals suffer,once they have left the farms.By exporting animals ,the farmers are just as guilty as those who transport them , they are also guilty of the abuse these animals suffer !!

Years now that we are trying to get through more inhumane treat for these animals, why does take it so long. I ‘ll easy get millionx signatures for this cause so why the governments do not listen once to the people?
